What data FacelessJournal collects, what it does not collect, and how affiliate tracking works.
Overview
This site is a static website. It does not require an account, does not accept user-submitted content, and does not sell any data.
What we collect
Server and analytics data. Like most websites, our host and any analytics service we use may record standard technical information: page requested, referring URL, browser type, approximate location derived from IP address, and timestamps. This is used in aggregate to understand which articles are useful.
Affiliate click data. When you click an affiliate link, the vendor's affiliate network records that the visit came from this site, typically using a cookie. This is what allows a commission to be attributed to us.
Email. If you contact us, we receive your email address and message. We use it only to reply.
What we do not collect
- We do not ask for your name, address, or payment details. Purchases happen entirely on
the vendor's site under their privacy policy.
- We do not sell, rent, or share personal information with third parties for marketing.
- We do not run ad retargeting pixels that follow you across other websites.
Cookies
Cookies on this site come from two sources:
- Analytics, if enabled, to count visits and understand traffic sources.
- Affiliate networks, set when you click a link to a vendor, so a resulting purchase
can be credited to this site.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking affiliate cookies does not affect the price you pay, and it does not prevent you from using this site.
Third-party sites
Links on this site — affiliate and otherwise — lead to websites we do not control. Once you leave FacelessJournal, the destination site's privacy policy and terms apply. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.
Your rights
If you are in a jurisdiction with data protection rights (for example the EU, UK, or California), you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of any personal data we hold about you. In practice this is limited to correspondence you have sent us. Use the contact page to make a request.
Children
This site is intended for a general professional audience and is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change with it. Continued use of the site after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
