About FacelessJournal

Who writes FacelessJournal, how we review tools, and what we will and will not publish.

What this site is

FacelessJournal covers the tools people use to run faceless channels — AI video generators, voice tools, schedulers — and, more importantly, the real costs of running one.

Most content in this niche is written to make you buy a subscription. We are trying to write the version we wished existed when we started: one that tells you what a tool costs per published video, what happens when you want your money back, and when the honest answer is "do not buy anything yet."

How we review

We pay for the tools we review. Every subscription discussed from hands-on experience was bought at full price. Nobody pays us for a review and nobody sees an article before it is published.

We separate testing from research. When we have used a tool, we say so. When we are describing a tool from its public documentation and pricing, we say that too. You will find that disclosure stated explicitly in our tool comparison, because pretending to have tested six products would be a lie and would make the whole site worthless.

We publish the downsides in the same article as the affiliate link. A review that buries a no-refund policy in a footnote is not a review — it is an advertisement with extra steps.

We are willing to tell you to spend nothing. Several articles here conclude that the right move is to publish more videos before paying for tools. That advice earns us nothing, which is exactly why it is worth trusting.

How we make money

Affiliate commissions when readers choose to buy through our links, at no extra cost to them. Full details, including what we will not do, are on the affiliate disclosure page.

Who writes this

FacelessJournal is written and maintained by a small independent team. We use these tools for our own video work. We are not affiliated with, employed by, or endorsed by any vendor we cover.

Corrections

Prices, features and policies in this category change constantly, and we will get something wrong eventually. If you spot an error — especially a pricing or policy change that makes our advice misleading — please tell us. Corrections are made promptly and noted in the article's "updated" date.

What we will not publish

  • Sponsored posts presented as reviews
  • Fake hands-on testing
  • "Best of" lists assembled without using any of the products
  • Claims about revenue or earnings we cannot source

If you see any of those here, we have failed. Say so.
